The Bayside Raider Intermediate Team (15-17 Year Old Division) completed a perfect 10-0 season by defeating the Van Cortland Titans in the NYCYFL Championship Game 22-6.

The game was played at South Shore High School in front of a throng of Raider Nation Fans who definitely made their presence known.

Bayside opened by scoring in the first half with a ten yard TD pass from QB Donald Britton to Nick Arizmendi. This was the first of two touchdowns between the two. The second score coming in the third quarter on a bullet pass over the middle from 15 yards out.

Entering the fourth quarter leading 14-0, the Raider Intermediate Defense continued to excel led by Linebacker Tyriek Holland and Defensive End Dante Thomas.

With just under six minutes to play in the game, it was only fitting that league MVP Jonathan Mercado (100+ yards rushing) finish off the scoring with a five yard touchdown run to make it 22-0. Running behind a stellar performance by the Offensive Line, the Raiders were on their way to the 2014 NYCYFL Championship and a great ending to the Bayside Raiders 30th Anniversary Year.
