Greetings Raider Nation,
First and foremost, we pray you and your loved ones are well during these extraordinary times. This pandemic has changed the way we all interact with each other. Work, school, social activities, everything has been affected by COVID-19. Sports are no exception. We had been patiently waiting to see what our options were for returning to the field. Unfortunately, our decision has been made for us, as the NYC Parks Department has released a statement saying that they would not issue field permits for fall sports. We were, as you may be, deeply disappointed with this decision. We were disappointed at the thought that we may not be able to work with our Raiders family this year. But like all good coaches, we looked at this moment as halftime and went into the locker room to make some adjustments.
In order to keep teammates, coaches and supporters together through these times, we will be offering weekly Zoom sessions. These sessions can be used to watch film, learn some in-house exercises, limited homework assistance, etc. This will be an opportunity to keep everyone engaged. The sessions will be on Sundays at 11 AM, with the first one scheduled for Sunday September 13, 2020. The Zoom information will be sent out at a later date. We hope this will give everyone a bit of an escape from the quarantine norm.
Once again, we pray you and your families are safe. We are thankful for your continued support, and we will continue to look for ways to support all of our Raiders families. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to seeing you at our Zoom sessions.
GO RAIDERS!!!!
